Hello! I'm Elise, creative designer and design manager. Proud woman in tech and leadership with >10 years experience. I'm currently working on the GOV.UK app.
I'm inspired by people. I design solutions in response to glimpses of insight - frustrations, opinions, blockers, realities, workarounds, emotions. These help me uncover foundational problems - the roots of our behaviours - to make meaningful change. I don't specialise in one medium or another because the problem must shape the solution.
I'm passionate about bridging the gap between strategy and delivery, making sure big ideas actually make it into people’s hands.
I build, motivate and develop creative teams. I specialise in design management and documentation systems that improve collaboration, traceability and rigour. Clear, thorough documentation reduces duplication of work and empowers everyone on the team to make informed decisions.
I love sharing what I've learnt and experienced - whether that's about public sector design, app accessibility, branding, or more personal insights from my career so far.
